My lawn has been invaded by little red ants. Apart from using Nippon, is there an easy way of getting rid of them?

Not really, unless you want to dig the nest up and/or pour boiling water over it, which won't do your lawn much good. It's probably got dry with the weather we've been having. This always encourages ants. I always get a nest or two in my greenhouse.

I did try the boiling water trick and although the ants in that particular area have gone, so has the lawn! Still, as they say "You learn by your mistakes". Many thanks Jenny.
