I have four blueberry plants in containers, well established, about fifteen years old.Watered with rainwater from a butt and fed with a seaweed/iron sulphate feed once a week or so.They haven'tfruited this year now the leaves on two of them have turned brown,in the last week, and half the leaves on the other two have also started to turn brown. At a loss because I cannot see any sign of disease, so,is it old age and it is time to get rid and buy new or is worth keeping them and see what happens next year. The stems aren't dead scraping the bark shows green underneath it.

Evening Snooky, i’ve come across this problem with other plants before and it has always happened shortly after feeding the plants, in very hot weather…..whether it’s because when the temperatures are hot, the plants are taking up a lot more moisture than normal and then they get too much of a quick fix of feed and this is causing the browning of the leaves…just a thought!

Thanks OH for your interesting reply. On that basis plus that the stems are"alive" I shall give them a chance and see how they perform next year. Thanks again.
