Have loads of red wriggley worms at top of my hot composting bin, assume they are at the top because it is to hot for them below.

Wondering if I put them on the raised beds would they go into the soil?

Did put some out for the birds not sure if they found them though.

Thought maybe take a load to the compost bay on allotment.

I just leave them to do their own thing. I did once have what looked like a few hundred all lining the inside upper part of my Hotbin when it got a bit too warm for them, I just left them and they sorted themselves out when it cooled down. I was reading only the other day actually that they keep their numbers quite balanced themselves and if there are ever too many for the space some move on.
As they’re not the normal earthworms that are in the soil I don’t think they would stay there if you moved them there.
