Any Strimmer recommendations?

My 84yr old neighbour usually does my plot front when he does his using the site Strimmer. I note he hasn't done his so also not mine, so thinking it's time to support him & buy a strimmer for both our use. I can't use the site Strimmer as a heavy old petrol one so expect he is experiencing the same issues.

I was thinking a battery one that comes with 2 batteries so we both have one charged if we want to do our front (neither of us have grass paths), & he has a proper covered caged storage area so the actual Strimmer will be safe & I can get a key cut if want access. Can you suggest one that is actually up to the job? I see so many cheapie ones in use on the site that pretty much make no impact & they are back a few days in a row to do the same little bit as battery too weak. But also folk say the batteries are too heavy in more expensive ones.

Any you can recommend??

Morning Westi, I think all the cheaper ones are very much the same, so just depends how much you want to spend!
The one piece of advice I would give if you do get one is, to keep the grass strimmed often and while still short….as the one thing they struggle with is, long thick grass.
