Husband said he'd spotted a goldfinch on his walk to work. And he sent me a link.

What a lovely little creature. We're going to put out some bird feeders to encourage them into our garden and clear some boxes out of the conservatory in the hope of enjoying the space and maybe watching some lovely birds. That's my next job. Investigate where we might store some of our stuff while we're working our way through sorting it out.

They are, and they have such a happy little tune. If you watch them, they do a little dance in the spring, it’s really charming.

You need to buy Niger seed and the feeder for it, a perforated stainless steel tube, they love it. Ours have been bringing their youngsters to our feeder.

They will also eat sunflower seed hearts, we had them in our garden the other day.
Been gardening for over 65 years and still learning.
