Hi guys new to the group, so going in with a daft question to start me off. Can you use cardboard tubes to start off tiny spring bulbs. I took apart several window boxes due to ivy taking them over and have got a lot of bulbs that I don’t know what they are. I have been drying them out to store and thought maybe when the time comes I could plant them in cardboard tubes to see if they grow rather than having loads of small pots. Thoughts would be appreciated, thank you

I can't see any reason why not as you are just looking to see if they are viable & it will save space, give them a good depth of root run & if they grow they will be easy to transplant without too much disturbance.

I agree with, Westi, they should be fine in cardboard tubes.
