It can be quite amusing to experience some English language mistakes when living overseas.

One common one is "electric city" instead of electricity. My favourite is after waiting goodness knows how long for the snack we'd ordered we eventually asked what was happening. We got the reply that the chicken was busy. It's not unusual for people to get kitchen and chicken mixed up but it just gave us this crazy mental picture of a giant chicken in the kitchen trying to make food for dozens of people.
