Does anyone have a good set of fair rules or terms and conditions for allotment sites. I am particularly looking for a form of words that describes and acceptable standard for when a plot is ok or when it needs some action before the plot holder is warned about losing their tenancy

I would offer mine Compo as it is newly done since the amalgamation of the councils. Unfortunately or fortunately I have my mate decorating the house & the sideboard with the document is hemmed in with the bookcase & other furniture surrounding it. He will be finished next week so I will look for it then if you haven't got what you wanted.

Compo, ours has a section like this:-
4a) keep the whole allotment garden, including all pathways and storage areas, clean and in a good state of cultivation and fertility and in good condition.

Our allotment rules say:

The tenant shall keep the allotment clean and tidy, free from weeds, well manured and in a good state of cultivation and fertility.
......
The tenancy will be terminated after twenty-eight days' notice if the tenant does not comply fully with the rules and the tenancy agreement.

Oh I do so agree with the No Loud Music rule. For ANYWHERE outdoors apart from music festivals.

We were sitting trying to enjoy a tranquil lunch on our patio on Saturday listening to the little flock of goldfinches flying around the area and they were completely drowned out by a neighbour's loud music from a radio in their garden which was blaring out for much of the day. Really antisocial.
