Are you Boggit Hunting tonight ?

Definately going Boggit Hunting tonight. When it is dark I will go out with a knitting needle, bucket of salty water and a torch. I used to do this a lot in the summer with my Dad. We used to count how many slugs we caught - usually a three figure sum. My kids used to help when they were little. Pay them a penny or more per slug and they enjoy it even more !

Dear Happymouse, I've never heard of that word before.
Gosh you really seem to have some exciting evenings Boggit hunting, i think i must be the only one on K.G that doesn't go out at night with a torch hunting for molluscs.
I'm starting to think i'm missing out on something.
Happy hunting old girl.
Kind regards Old Herbaceous.

One of my spaniels likes to roll on dead slugs, must be Brut33 for dogs! I realise I just lost anyone under 35 there and all I can say to that is "Splash it on all over" 'enry.
Worth the effort

Found some whoppers crawling over the compost bins. Maybe thats where they hide. Copper ring around a courgette didn't work - big slug having his supper inside

Hi Carole
My dog does the same with slugs. Bit of a bugger when they get stuck in his fur though

Jopsy, if you were over 135, I reckon you'd be :
1/. Britains oldest lady.
2/. The worlds oldest recent mum.
Having seen your picture I reckon the polyfilla and slap are working a treat,
or your fingers got kvkvslkn-ed.

I know some 34 year olds in a bikini that would be left alone.

Well it will be dark and the boggits won't hear you moving around if you've no clothes to rustle and catch on plants etc. You can sneak up on them so much better. Don't knock it until you've tried it.

In any case, you'll have your hat.
