Should I feed PSB?

My psb is flowering nicely - is there any advantage to giving it a high potash feed? Will I get more or bigger spears if I do?

I don't know the answer to that Vivien. I'm used to adding a little extra nutritional feed to plants cropping in summer and autumn but it's never really occurred to me to do this to plants cropping and being harvested at the end of winter. Perhaps somebody else knows the answer.

Can only suggest you perhaps experiment with feeding some plants and not others and see if you notice any difference between the treated and non treated, although if I'd had to endure the weather of the past couple of months I might welcome a little bit of extra nutrition. I wonder if any of the residue might remain in the soil as a booster for your next batch of seeds to be planted when the psb has been cleared ? Possibly not if it's in liquid form. .

The traditional boost for Winter greens is nitrochalk, not sure if it would enhance psb but I don't think potash would do much good.
