I used a dishwasher to clean very dirty glass fixtures quickly and surprisingly thoroughly.

I also used it to remove paint from a light fixture of a different style; it flaked and looked bad, and the dishwasher took it off in one cycle.

Eventually, one day I accidentally launched it with our kitchen mouse inside. He did not do it and it was quite unexpected to find it.

Does the dishwasher work adequately? It's just that as far as I know, it is undesirable to put anything other than dishes into the dishwasher. I treat my dishwasher with care so that it lasts longer. We recently changed the detergent and so far the result is pleasing.
