Well it's sort of pinkish

Apparently this term isn't to do with the actual colour (according to someone on the Today programme)

So although April's full moon is known as the Pink Moon, don't expect it to look particularly pink!
It's named after pink flowers called wild ground phlox, which bloom in early spring and appear throughout the United States and Canada.
It is also called the Sprouting Grass Moon, the Egg Moon and the Fish Moon in other parts of the world."

We only got a glimpse of it at about 10.15 pm last night as there was a lot of broken cloud here in north Dorset. This evening was a spectacular moonrise, though, as it was a gorgeous deep blood red as it rose over the horizon (Hambledon Hill for us, if anyone knows north Dorset). Paler and brighter now, though, with Venus incredibly bright over the other, western, horizon. A wonderful sight after seeing another wonderful one today - the return of the swallows.

Seem to recall it was to do with a flower that comes into bloom this time of year.

Last night here it really was pink..large but only just visible above horizon, I assume seeing it through mist and then really bright orange by about 9pm

Some of our local Ladies were out last night, dancing naked around the Boundary Oak tree....of course, being good village folk, they were 2 metres apart...

Spectacular view of it here. Comforting that in view of nature's current horrors being inflicted on us, there are also still some beautiful moments.
