I have been given (how kind) a second s/h mini greenhouse. One of this kind:

I already have one at home, so this one is probably best located on the 'lottie.
I have a couple of questions:
- what would you consider the most suitable location? The options are in a protected space but facing north west or in a more exposed location facing south or east (ish).
- if the second of these, bearing in mind the way how light weight these are and the way they slot together, with their plastic cover, how shall I secure it? I thought about burying the bottom of it (but that will interfere with the zip-up door/access) or putting a fencing post to either side and guy ropes over the top. I'm disinclined to peirce the cover, although, in many ways, that would be better. The one I have at home benefits from a wall behind it and a layer of bricks on the bottom shelf.

A couple of full size paving slabs on the bottom shelf.

Well I can do a dozen bricks. I could perhaps do some skip divong for slabs.

You'd get and fortune for your bricks right now, all the builders merchants have been closed for a couple of weeks!
I'd go for slabs as they need less vertical space at the bottom

Don't pierce the cover as it will just continue to tear, but do set up guy ropes to a post or something. Also don't put it in direct sun all day as the covers perish & you find lots of little bits - forever it seems! Eventually the posts rust as well but that is not really a hardship as you can re-use them for another year or 2 as plant supports.

I do have another question, having narrowed my choice to two locations:-
Would you choose morning sunlight or evening sunlight?

No where near an expert but I'd say morning - gets warm but not scorching!

I would choose morning, I like to fiddle about after work in mine, when the sun has gone round and it's just nice and warm in there. On Sunday it was 41 mid morning!

Thank you both. Your views are in line with my thinking.
I have been thinking that warming up quickly from the night time low was probably more important than heat as the temperature drops in the evening.
