Those are my old french windows you can see. I think they will make a nice cold frame but they are heavy! I need to work oit the best way to support them, which is probably two (or three) triangular bits of wood.

Good to see the gardeners re-cycling scheme still in good use, my dads first greenhouse was made from re-used windows.

I expected so many more would be down at the allotment today even though most well over 70, surely they would be down in droves but obviously the advice is confusing! My lottie neighbours are self isolating due to health conditions of one but fit & healthy wife jumped out of her car to check with me first! Big difference between the 2 - none really! Keep your distance from others but not if immune suppressed (then stay indoors), wash/gel your hands & don't touch your face! I'm still fighting the last bit of advice as have a snotty cold but you would be well impressed at my leap to the other side of the bus from the old bird with an obvious dry cough! I think it was more habitual from her side, but taking no chances! And she had no signs of a fever!
Also confused that the taps down there have been turned off again? Doh!

Been busy over the allotment today, the very keen wind is drying the soil a real treat. So have been preparing seed beds and a few planting areas. I have made some temporary cold frames, just wooden sides and ends, with sheets of corrugated plastic on top...amazing how quickly it warms up under them. I'll start sowing a few bits in them in a couple of days.

Had three spectators but, no one working.

Any dust from the field yet, Clive? :)

Looks like a good weather forecast for the week and I have been lifting my leeks and left over parsnips on my patch. The soil is still quite damp but as OH says, the keen wind should help dry up the earth and I hope to do some social distancing and seed sowing as well.
