I have a small cherry tree which I inherited, probably no more than 6 - 8 years old. It produces blossom in profusion but few fruits and what there are drop off within a couple of weeks. It's also getting tall about 2 metres and has lots of upright stems. Can I should I prune it, if so how and will this help with the fruiting?
Tried to put a pic in but can't do it!

if it is a sweet cherry then only formative prune late summer. If you hard prune you will take away some of its vigour and fruiting will be affected the following year.
