Green Manures

Hello Team, I have a question please about Green Manures, I am a Organic Gardener & have my plot on a Flood plain, I thought sowing some of this would put back in the soil what has previously washed out, but as some of the Manures are from veg family groups (i.e. Winter Tares from Peas ) will this affect my crop rotation if I sow them now? Thanks Ruth

Avoid mustard if you want to follow it with brassicas, avoid field beans, lupins and winter tares if you want to follow it with legumes. Phacelia and grazing rye seem to be the best 'neutral' ones and I also find that strimming down the grazing rye makes it grow again very quickly - you therefore get two crops to dig in from one sowing.
