How do I add a video (of my plants) to my post, please? Tried the usual way of adding pics but the site won't accept a video. It plays on Facebook and Messenger but not here.

Probably too big.
Post it in a streaming website like YouTube and the post the url on here.

I had to do a warranty claim this week for a flickering illuminated bathroom mirror and they asked for a video on WhatsApp. Well I don't have a smartphone or other Apple device so I couldn't do that. Then I remembered the laptop we use for crossword help had a camera and video function so I took one for a minute and shared it on OneDrive and sent them a link. Really easy, worked a treat, sending me a replacement part under what I discovered was a 10 year warranty. I would post the link to prove it works but it is pretty boring!

I encountered this problem once when I tried uploading a short video tour of my veggie garden. It played fine on my phone and social media, but the site I wanted to post on didn’t accept it. I converted the video to a different format (I think it was MP4) and uploaded it without any trouble.
I used this free tool I found online that lets you convert M1V files and many other types easily. It might be worth checking it out here:

I’ve dealt with something similar before when a gardening group wouldn’t accept my video uploads, even though they worked just fine everywhere else. Sometimes the problem is the upload size or just a weird video format that the forum doesn’t recognize. What worked for me was taking my video and converting it to a standard MP4 format. After that, it finally let me add the video without errors.
If you’re stuck with a format that won’t upload, I've noticed [url-
