Ever since I saw a picture of the beautiful Skeleton Flower - Diphylleia grayi - I've been on a mission to try to obtain one. The flower becomes transluscent in the rain - weirdly attractive. Just doesn't seem easily available at this time of the year - either hideously overpriced or just out of stock.
I've emailed absolutely every website, horticultural society, gardening club, specialist nursery, friends, friends of friends - zilch.
Only fellow gardeners will understand the frustration of trying to source an elusive plant...and being thwarted.
My quest continues.
