hello,

i have last year's purple sprouting still in.

it was knocked back by pigeons i think (also eaten this years, might be getting my air rifle out) - and had no fruit so far.

i;ve left them in a bit to see if they will produce, and they have leapt up with recent rain.

no sign of any fruit though, so my question is does anyone know if there is likely to be, or do they need cold weather to kick start fruiting (i.e. i dig them up).

they are claret, which i thought was less time critical than others.

thanks

Stuart

I'd leave them and see what they do. I still have some that were knocked back that only started sprouting a couple of weeks ago
