I've come on here as per norm, but last few nights & I'm half way through posting & suddenly I have to sign in again, despite ticking the remember me box. Now I don't mind signing in again, but what is aggravating is my post vanishes as well - not just on the main forum but on PM's. Anyone else having problems?

Nope.
Do not put off thanking people when they have helped you, as they may not be there to thank later.

Yes Westie I frequently have this happen and have mentioned it before.
It is really annoying when you lose the content of the proposed post. No wonder people seem to give up, I wonder if there is any connection between this matter and the fact we have a small nucleus of regular posters
The suggestion I got back was to compose the text part of a long post as a word document, then copy & paste it to the posting box on the thread.
What rigmarole that is !!!! I would hate to have to mess about doing that if I were trying to post from a phone.

It occasionally happens to me but not on a regular basis although it did happen to me a few days ago.
I can't even claim it happens if I'm under the influence of the vino as I'm doing Dry January and not a drop has passed my lips.

I did have a spell of getting logged out, but my Son did something with my computer and it stopped it straight away....but please don't ask me what he did....
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

As you both have no idea what your sons did, perhaps you could tell us what they DIDN'T do and then we might work out what they did. Nothing like a bit of optimism
