The tomatillos are going mad in the garden and also escaping out of the greenhouse. I'm definitely growing them again. Just tried the first fruit, raw, and it tasted of lemony cucumber. Will be a good addition to salads methinks.

Congrats Diane on a successful year for them!
I consider them each year but it was taste I was thinking about & the other uses than salsa! (Ever time I google that's top of the list)! Lemony cucumber will be much easier to think of recipes! Certainly salads - I wonder what they cook like in a tray bake or something with fish? On my list for next year - thank you!

Well done! Always fun when a new growing experiment is successful. I've only grown them once but would do so again if I could find the space. We made a Mexican salsa with those I grew - found the recipe on the internet but I imagine they would be an interesting accompaniment to chicken or fish dishes.
