My Dad called this "Queen of the night" it flowers overnight and these two blooms are out together.
This year is the best I've ever managed, one last week, one earlier this week and these two last night.
They're each as big as a side plate at 9" diameter and strongly scented.

WOW! that's the second time this week I've seen a photo of someone's homegrown Cereus blooms, and I'd never heard of them before that! Absolutely beautiful, wish we had smellovision!

I've grown Epiphytes like these for many years, I currently have 4 different types growing, bought some of them on ebay, but this one was my Dads favourite and I have cuttings from his first plant from some 40 years ago, love the smell of Coconut that comes from them. The plants are pretty ugly, but those blooms are fabulous, yours is a belter.

It's a lovely plant and I had one for years. I think I finally lost it when it got infested with leaf miners. The flowers are well worth waiting for and seem quite magical with their perfume and the way they stand out in the dark.
