Who is your all time favourite presenter of any gardening program, TV or radio.
In the days when I worked for a specialist company for pond products I worked at many shows. Chelsea, Hampton Court, BBC Gardeners World Live, Malvern Spring & Autumn and met a few presenters during that happy time.
Leaving aside Charlie Dimmock in her younger braless days (yes I know ladies, "typical male"), my favourite has to be Geoff Hamilton.
Knowledgeable without pretention. Genuinely friendly, Down to earth (pardon the pun) All round 'good bloke' who is missed.
Can't believe its 21 years.

It's definitely Geoff Hamilton for me too, i went to his garden the other year and you could feel his presence everywhere....probably down to walking round each little garden room, that he had built by him on Gardeners World.
I had a chat with his Son and Daughter in Law and they were a lovely couple as well.

Geoff for me too, I always use his books for reference, I have quite a few, though I do remember Percy Thrower in b&w in the early days watching it with my dad.

Yes Geoff Hamilton was best though I have what I call my Percy Thrower hook in both greenhouses and polytunnel, if you remember him going into his greenhouse with the glass removed and taking his jacket off.

Yes, me too, Geoff Hamilton, pleasant and knowledgeable without showing off for the cameras. I like Carol Kline when she's demonstrating how to do things but can't stand it when she goes into gushing mode. Same with Alan Tichmarsh he was good when he'd grown out of his cheeky chappy style.

Alan is jaded, Monty is gooey, Carol's voice annoys me, can't bear that Christine Walkden, Charlie was boring, Bob Flowerdew used to please me with some of his growing ideas & re-cycling of things, but haven't seen him on TV for ages.
I prefer those allotment type shows where they go around & ask 'normal' folk their growing tips & hints & get them to explain anything unusual they are growing & even how to cook it. Much more befitting of our cultural changes, then Monty's favourite tulip or whatever!

The parts I don't like is when any off them plant something the soil is so perfect it's got to be just laid I would love to know the mix it's nothing like the soil we have at home or on the plot
