Hi all

Just popped in to say hello, my wife bought me the magazine during a recent spell in hospital, liked the mag, had a look at the forum and it looks like no one bites, so I decided to join you.
Originally from South Leicestershire, then South Derbyshire, then Staffordshire before emigrating north of the border to Angus in North East Scotland. Recently retired, I built 3 large raised beds from railway sleepers for veg growing and also bought an 8 x 12 greenhouse, along with a smallish plot for brassicas and tatties, that's my growing space. I have 3 apple trees, some soft fruit and a strawberry bed. Not much of a flower gardener, but my wife would like to add to her Scabious collection and we both like Roses.

Welcome to the forum, tigerburnie. You will find us a friendly lot and always happy to help, when required.

I think at the moment you must be our most northerly member!

Thanks for the welcome, up till now I've planted some Onion and Leek seeds in the heated propagator this year, they look like they'll need moving on this week.

Thanks for popping in tigerburnie! (Can I call you TB)?

Noted your signature - 60 years experience! Oh you are so very welcome to the forum and experience of various areas of the country will no doubt help immensely! Never, ever worry about popping in & adding anything; whether our winter boredom rants, fun & nonsense or our real growing questions when they pop up (which they will very soon when the season gets underway) & ask away yourself of course!

We have direct access to the KG Team on here & they give loads of hints & tips too. But the guys & girls on here are pretty knowledgable as well as you will find.

Thanks Westie, you should also note that I said I'm still learning, not an expert, nor a stick in the mud, but things like modern hydroponics are a bit over my head, but traditional organic is where I come from.

Thanks Shallot man, coming up to a busy time of the gardening year and I ended up in hospital, on the mend, but have to have keyhole surgery to remove my gallbladder in the next month or so.
