I've been offered some chicken and duck poo.

I know chicken manure is very good, but is it possible to use duck waste, too?

I use chicken muck but not fresh I think if you composted duck muck it should be ok

No experience of that waste so, I'll duck the question.

Probably depends on how much bedding, pretty messy stuff. Stacked for a bit with plenty of straw should be fine or blended into a compost heap.

Can't say much about duck poo, but haven't noticed much improvement in the garden beds around the lake at work & there is many a duck about. Not sure our gardeners are as into growing as they are into mowing, so maybe not a good comparison!

I think anything containing duck waste would need to be left longer to fully break down.
Duck waste is quite liquid, but I would personally not use it in large amounts unless it had broken down totally on a compost heap or with some form of original bedding material such as straw or fine wood chipping.

Pure guess on my part but I would imagine that both constituent parts of a combination of chicken and duck would have a high nitrogen content.
I don't think duck manure is as hot as chicken

As with all home made composts / fertilisers I think care, caution and patience are the keywords and then all should be ok.

The title was so funny. I am still giggling, but yeah you can use 'Duck Poo' as manure.
