What has your allotment / garden plot contributed for Christmas Dinner.

My family and I will be sitting down to (or sat down to if you are reading this after 25th Dec) :-

Sarpo Axona potatoes, roasted (from store in garage)
Montgomery Brussel sprouts (3lb picked Christmas Eve)
Pinnacle Parsnips (9 dug, all the correct shape and up to 18" in length, (dug Christmas Eve)
Musselburgh Leek (9 Dug Christmas Eve, edible but not over impressive after removing evidence of leaf miner attack)
Bedford Champion Onion (2 from store in garage)

For us it's,

Kestrel, roast potatoes,
New potatoes, Charlotte,
Brussel Sprouts, wellington.....and they are some real beauties.... :)
Carrots, young, Autumn King,
Shallots, Red Sun
And Parsnip, but they were a free packet and i can't remember what variety.

The Turkey came from a lovely family, called the Hunts at Watergate farm and they are just down the road from us.....

Oh i nearly forgot, homemade, Village Christmas Chutney, made by my Mum.

All sounds very similar.
There will be various salad leaves included with the Smoked Salmon starter
Picasso Potatoes
Cronus Brussels Sprouts
Duchess Parsnip
James Scarlet Carrots
Fairy Squash
Lodero braised Red Cabbage - think there are Apples with that
Arthur Onions will feature in various places including with the Sage
Bramley Apple Sauce
and I guess some Red Currant jelly in the gravy
Don't think I've contributed to the White Chocolate Cheese Cake for afters, certainly didn't grow the Pomegranate topping.

As I was super organised with the food prep yesterday I went down to lottie for a few hours today - totally alone, only 1 person popped down to feed their chickens. I have finished the hedgerow trimming - finally, but will have to divide up the pile of cuttings or will probably burn the fence down & melt the water butt! :D

For the feast from lottie:

Cara's for the Roasties
Queensland Blue pumpkin
Parsnips - think Tender & True
Frilly Sprouts/ kallettes
January King Cabbage
The last red baron onions which were sprouting a bit, but only needed a wee bit for the stuffing.

Good one, OH! I did manage to see your photos, Westi!

I am afraid our home grown produce was nothing as good as all of yours: just parsnips, kale+flower sprouts (chopped), onion in bread sauce ...... But then, we only have half an allotment now.

I could make a cutting remark but to do so would be as useful as a chocolate teapot. :)
