Can someone tell me how to delete sites from our bookmarked ones?
When we used Tiscali, it was simple - there was a button for deleting. Now we're on BT broadband, there isn't one. I've tried the Edit option, but it doesn't remove them.
What am I doing wrong?
I know there are lots of whizzy IT peeps out there - rescue me please!!!

What browser are you using?
I use Firefox and if you put the pointer over a bookmark in your list and right click then delete is availble. I think IE works in a similar way.

PS Firefox is a lot less hassle than IE.

Internet Explorer
Favourites on top line
Organise Favourites
Either select the Favourite in the Right Hand pane or the folder and then the Favourite
With it highlighted click the Delete button and confirm the deletion.
FireFox
Bookmarks on the top line
Manage Bookmarks
Then again find what you want to get rid of, highlight it and click Delete button

If I right click I get 'Back', 'Select All', 'Add Bookmark', 'View Source', 'Print', 'Refresh', 'Properties'. None of them lead to delete.
If I go via Edit there is a list which includes 'Delete' but it isn't one of the highlighted buttons and nothing happens if I click (or double click) on it.

Do you have
File Edit View Favorites Tools Help
across the top?
Click Favorites and you should get
Add to Favorites
Organise Favorites
with actual links and folders below
Select Organise Favorites
Select what you want to get rid of in the right hand half of the screen and click the delete button in the left hand half, it will ask you to confirm it.

Sorry Tigger, I wasn't very clear on that. Little sleep the night before with a power cut and constantly beeping cordless phones all night. Well that's my excuse for being so incoherent.
When you get the list of your bookmarked sites on the screen, select the one you want to delete (just hovering your mouse over it should do so), then right-click. This should give you a choice of options such as 'open', 'print', 'shortcut', etc. And 'delete'. I am assuming you have Internet Explorer, by the way(?).
Anyway, I am sure you won't have time to think about it this morning. In the meantime, have a great day at Malvern!
