Wondering if anyone can tell me why my Autumn-Sown Broad Beans are looking a bit 'iffy'....
They were sown direct into my chosen raised bed to overwinter (Aquadulce variety) and a good proportion of them have AGAIN this season developed a blackened basal stem and appear to have keeled over and semi-snuffed it.
They are in a completely different bed to last year. The bed is raised and therefore unlikely to be sodden. Presumably it's a viral rather than nutrient-related problem, no??
Your wisdom would be much appreciated if you can spare the time, thank you.
Wellie
