BBC cancel Garden Programme

What an absolute disgrace the inept and shameful BBC are, their arrogance and dictatorial effrontery to again cancel gardening programmes enjoyed by so many of their compulsory licence fee subscribers just because some people want to watch others kick or prod a white ball about always amazes me. It is clearly an outrage. I have now given up writing letters to the BBC complaining of their despicable Fascist regime, they used to read them but in the last twenty years I was only getting the same stock replies. I got the impression that they thought my complaints were a little over the top and they in turn complained to me that I was causing them "vexation". What a wasteful and hypocritical organisation the BBC are indeed. I hope that all that share my moderate views support the petition.

Wonder what the total number of football fans is in comparison to gardeners (of all types) in the UK.

Of course its potential audience figures that count in the programme planning departments eyes.

Appalling to keep messing the regular audience around.

I'll be signing the petition. I don't watch it on a Friday though - I usually watch it on I player on a Sunday morning before beech grove. Makes me feel inspired and enthusastic for an allotment day.

The popularity of gardeners world is demonstrated by the fact they repeat it a couple of times in the following few days. If they didn't have an audience they wouldn't do this. When they cancel it, I'm not sure what they fill the repeat slots with - I'm sure it's not football, snooker or golf though!
