We have an oil drilling site ½ mile up the road from us and there’s a community meeting about fracking later today. Trouble is I can’t remember whether I’m anti-fracking and pro the EU… or pro-fracking and anti the EU … or pro both fracking and the EU … or anti… Oh God, my ‘ead ‘urts. Please someone tell me what to think or I'll go in the garden and eat worms.

Beet me to it alen. Actually, fried with certain Beatles, worms are actually quite tasty. Surprisingly so are cockroaches...
Wow, my inner survival scout is showing through. Ah for the days camping... Catching a fish for tea with a mug of luke warm nettle and pinecone soup...

Worms. Not for me! Couldn't bear the thought of boiling them or frying them alive. I'm the sort of mug who goes around lifting them off pavements and putting them in a safe place so that people don't trample on them !

actually, brussel sprouts are my favourite vegetable... and I cant grow them
I always manage to kill them off before first frost (I have always been told they need a frost to take the bitter off)...During uni, At a society house party, we had a challenge to eat 13 brussel sprouts in the quickest time possible... took me 5 seconds, I just scooped them all up and ate them whole

I would post photo proof, But I was so quick, my best friend at the time (now my wife) who was taking photos didnt have time to get to me because I'd eaten them all before she got to my end of the line to take a photo lol

Alan - I don't know what was more gross - the actual worms or the greasy pancakes! I think I'd actually prefer to eat them raw than that!
I've eaten quite a few weird things as lived in the bush in Aus & my Grandfather used to take me out to show me how to live off the land if I had too so not really squeamish - had snake, obviously roos, echinda, galas, ants etc! Road kill is preferable to that though!
