If you haven't discovered this, have a look, but you'll need a head for heights!

Wow indeed Alan

Amazing just what can be transmitted from up there and the clarity at the level it can be zoomed into to.

I have been fortunate to see the ISS go directly overhead on two occasions and found it quite thought provoking about the crew being up there and what the human race has achieved since my youth.
Pity that in all that time not all of the human race has learned tolerance and how to get on with one another though

When seen like this it reinforces just what a spectacular place earth is

Its a very technical reason Dan, far to complex to explain briefly on here in full but in simple terms the reason is ...
.....................................................

.....................................................

Financial investment, ISS has better camera's and the backing
of a few nations, even goggly can't manage that :D

oh I know... Its just funny that the richest company on the planet cant take decent pictures, and ISS can from a lot further away.

Actually, this has just reminded me, I should have a data packet from ISS today or tomorrow ready to download :D I was one of the lucky winners to get my code on the astro Pi project and it got there a few days ago so should be running now :)

Just means I'm a better programer than 50 other under 25's and worse than 7 lol. Or more accurately my friend in Cambridge liked the programme I wrote lol. Plus side, there's now a computer on the space station sending me a weekly update with radiation and temperature readings... Quite random really.
Many talents? Na, just a few random and unrelated ones. Computing, nutrition, psychology and gardening lol

So Dan can really convince the computer it has to grow the right vegetables for a nutritious meal.

Haha, wrong type of psychology, I studied psychology of health. So I looked at attitudes to food and exercise, and all that sort of thing.

You joke, a friend of mine made a seed planting robot. And my computer helps plan my garden, and last week suggested rotating my bean bead so it wouldn't shadow my squash early evening during summer. Actually that kind of freaked me out. It shouldn't have done that...

The time to really freak out is when you get home and switch on your computer and it greets you with the following message

" You spent 2 hours 54minutes sowing seeds today, had you of chosen different varieties it would have taken 2hours 20 minutes and your yield would be 50% higher. You must try harder, please don't waste my valuable planning time"

I have one of them too, but she doesn't know a dandelion from a Carrot... However, she can keep the 19 month old house wrecker under control
