Swede

General tips / questions on seeding & planting

This is my first year growing swede do I leave them in the ground and pick as I need them or would it be better to bring them home and store them in a cold shed?. also
The same question on celery again my first year whats the best way to keep them.

I leave mine in the ground Bren but I am at the tropical end of England & the ground doesn't really freeze & they are covered with environmesh, so best wait for someone more local to you to respond.

I leave Swede in the ground, might harvest in advance if long cold forecast but don't usually bother. Ate our first, well about a ¼ of it, yesterday and very good it was. They are too big really this year.
