I would like to thank everyone for my birthday wishes. Sorry for the delay in thanking you but we have just come back from a week in the Cotswolds. We have had a brilliant week with this weather. (No internet!!)

Dear Catherine, glad you had a nice few days at the Cotswolds, we went there a few weeks ago to Hidcote Manor, and there certainly are some pretty villages there.

Sorry, Catherine, very much belatedly, but all the very best for your birthday! I am glad you had a good holiday and are ready now to face the autumn clear-up in the garden!

Better late than never, Best wishes from me too. After the Lord Mayor's show as they say when it comes to returning from holiday and having to sort out garden or allotment!

Hi OH, we have been to Hidcote but have you visited Kiftsgate which is our preferred garden, it is really lovely especially the black swimming pool at the bottom of the garden. So peaceful. If you've not been there do try and visit you won't be dissappointed.

Thank you Monika and Primrose, it is nice to go on holiday but I like to come home. We have picked 3.5kg of tomatoes and I have slow roasted them today. Not done much else but catch up with the Archers and slowley unpacked. I must be getting old as I hate the trip back home and all the things associated with going on holiday.

Just watched the weather forecast for the next week. Not much rain and very warm. :D
