Rosemary beetle

A pest I hadn't come across before - I spotted a couple of shiny, green, stripey beetles on our lavender yesterday, sort of dome-shaped like a small ladybird. I checked them out on the internet, and they were rosemary beetles, which apparently feed on the shoots and flowers of rosemary, lavender, sage, thyme, etc. According to the RHS, they used to be confined to London in the UK, but have now spread throughout England and Wales. I picked about 10 off the lavender this morning, and there are probably more; fortunately didn't find any on the rosemary, thyme or sage.

We've had something similar in the mint for the last two seasons, don't know where these herb loving beetles have suddenly appeared from.

I think pesticide will help you out to get rid of this bug.
