I have six dwarf fruit trees all have set fruit more than ever before. They are now growing more new shoots should I let these grow long or should I prune them. If let grow when should I prune them. Help please they are very close together so I will have to shorten the shoots at sometime
Advice appreciated

The normal advice for apple trees, I don't know if dwarf trees are treated any differently, is to cut back side shoots to leave 5" of new growth. Do the longest ones in early August and successively do the rest to finish in September. Don't touch the leaders which are pruned in Winter according to how you want to shape the tree, varying between just tipping or cutting well back if the trees are as big as you want them. Winter pruning can also be used to shape the tree if any crossing or congestion is starting to develop.
I guess you were thinking of pruning now, I don't remember ever seeing that advised anywhere.
