You can't deny it's been a mild winter even if a bit damp, so what are the consequences on your plot??

Today I found my purple sprouting was - well sprouting in abundance! My kale & most of my winter cabbages are starting to bolt, my overwintered broad beans have flowers, but are also a bit small (less than a foot high), to carry a crop so will see if enough energy to grow tall & give me beans! Chard bolting as well. Peas, which last week looked fine have succumbed to the wet & are mush.

My biggest bonus was inspecting my forced rhubarb - grew so tall under the bucket it pushed it & the cement brick off! Thank you very much - crumble & custard!

Cauliflowers have been outstanding, even if six weeks earlier than they should be. Kale and Brocolli going to seed a lot earlier than expected too.
There will now be a gap with not much veg about.
