Can usually be spotted by their poor english syntax and lack of interest in or knowledge of any form of gardening.
They usually make between five and ten posts before going silent for a week or more. Then they add a link into their signature, usually advertising something.
I spotted stylelighting yesterday and issued them a warning, they're now banned and all trace of them (and a few of your posts) removed from view.
Moderators have to let what they think is a spammer prove themselves to be so, as poor english syntax would be a pretty poor reason to ban someone and actually rather discriminatory.
