The Angina Files.

Hi all,

Not been on here for ages. Sorry about that

Having been told that stents were not the answer to my blocked arteries because of the amount of blockage, I was sent for a chat ( after 6 weeks ) with a surgeon at St. Thomas's in London regarding a bypass operation.

He informed me that I had too many blockages for a bypass to work, so thought that I would end up with increased medication.

Anyway, after another of their meetings, the top man in the stent department at St. Thomas's called me up there for a chat last week.

He reckons that with his expertise, and three of the new super duper dis-solvable stents, I'll be digging into my manure pile in no time :)

So, I'm off to St. Thomas's tomorrow morning and will have the op on Thursday. Should be home Friday :D

I must admit that I'm getting a little bit nervous.

Wish me luck :D

Good Luck PJ! Trust them! :)

Westi
PS Don't touch it (manure) until told though - infection risk is quite high!

Morning all,

Thanks for the good wishes :D

I'm off to get the train shortly. Good job it wasn't yesterday I suppose.

Considering how little energy I've had these last few months, I've had a pretty good crop from most things.
Mind you, I've had a fair amount of help :D

I sincerely hope it's not good luck you need with all that skill to pick and choose from, you have my best wishes for a successful surgery.

This far west much and many of the NHS services are 15 years behind and though we do get a few decent surgeons i'll hazard a guess that ours are 'Journeymen' compared to who's doing the work on you.

Have a manly huggy.
