Your hens have a very cozy little house, but I expect they need it in winter when your temperatures are much colder than ours !

What a lovely cosy hen hut.

My 6 new hens have just decided to move out of their small hut and risk perching with the two old hens in the large hut. This is a very old hut we used to keep dogs in that has been insulated, had nest boxes installed and a bob hole and perch added.

The poor little hen that is bottom of the pecking order is the one forced to sit next to the two old ones who give her a few hard pecks to show who is boss before they settle down for the night.
