More catalogues!

After the seed catalogues from Morgan& Thompson, DT Brown and Mr Fothergill, I have now also had Marshalls and Moles seeds. I can't possibly order from all of them, so I feel very guilty receiving all these gorgeously produced booklets and not making use of them!

I recall that many years ago, seed catalogues used to arrive around Christmas, then in mid-October and now early and mid-September. A bit like Christmas cards, I suppose, earlier every year.

I shouldn't feel guilty Monika. They do all arrive earlier and earlier but I like to browse them all. Most of my seeds are ordered though the allotment assoc. from Kings but some I do buy from other companies. Especially if there is something new to try. I think if you are on one mailing list these days you end up being on all of them unless you ask not to be. I don't mind how many gardening catalogues pop through my door.
I keep one years lot till the next years come then they go for recycling.

Enjoy them.

Beryl.

Then soak them & compost them! Nothing to feel guilty about - whether you are ordering from them or not; they & you are contributing to the patch!

I spent ages this afternoon looking through the Moles catalogue - beautiful photos and very useful information about planting time, temperature, how many days to planting out from sowing and harvesting etc. and a large gardening planner poster included too.
It was the first time I have grown their seeds this year and the pelleted seed in particular has been brilliant.

Marshalls also arrived this week. At least if you get a few catalogues you can compare prices and they give you a wider range of varieties to choose from.

I am also being bombarded with emails from gardening companies I have ever ordered from and as every inch of growing space in my front and back gardens is a,ready "spoken for" it's frustrating having to ignore some interesting special offers.

Oops OH! Do they know something we don't? :D Are you the super seed saver that is making them redundant? :D

Best google (or whatever) them so you can also enjoy this link as we compare prices, info & choices! (PS I've not taken the plastic off mine yet - 22 degrees this weekend - I'm not hibernating yet!) :)
