Got my first proper warning today - the others have been near misses! I guess I know what I'll be doing tomorrow on lottie!

I know main crop spuds are probably OK just to cut foliage but I'd like to have given them a bit more time as my King Edwards are still in flower but have some beauty outdoor toms that I really would like to see through to ripening! Priorities hey :?:

We had the warning here in Dorset on Friday..so I cut the tops off. Yesterday I dug them up (had them in a very large barrel) and most were ok..just a few mushy ones. They were pink fir apple.

Warnings coming every day know - used the last of my mix on my toms, dug up my Cara's and cut the foliage off everything else and earthed up so couldn't seep down into the tubers - fingers crossed! Couldn't dig them all up as back breaking with this dry soil! Dug up 20 Cara's and get a large trug over 3/4 full! Happy Happy!
