This morning the lawn and cultivated bit around the greenhouse are definitely moist. The aluminium chair I'm sat on drinking my coffee had to be spot wiped before sitting down and the base of everything has that "bits of dust and grit spatter caused by raindrops hitting the ground nearby" look.
Fresh westerly breeze and up high are fluffy white clouds with pale grey bases gently scooting across to the east. :D

Just wish my back wasn't playing up. :?

Raced to lottie all excited because it rained so much! Disappointed as only about 3 - 4 inches of soil was penetrated! I only live about a mile away & back garden is moist & lovely as it did rain for several hours - talk about localised weather!

It's amazing how dry it has been, isn't it, Westi? Although we had about 35mm overnight and today, when my OH tried to earth up the potatoes this evening, the soil was still too dry and hard to do that under the potato foliage!

Been pulling up weeds that I had to hack out last week and between the potatoes as well.
