I have worked on our plot today. It was so hot. I put the umbrella up about 10.30 and then read the daily paper. Then I weeded, tidied, mowed and transplanted most of the day. (I have taken a week off work, yesterday I painted all our outside paints) I have so enjoyed being there today. Very relaxing. Our broad beans are almost finished, we have eventually got lots of beans after a slow start. Cabbages, caulis (Cheesy) summer brocolli, potatoes, courgettes, sunflowers getting going and looking good, lettuce, tomatoes just starting to produce. I think this is the best day of the week so far. The sweet peas have not done as well as I had hoped, they have gone dry from the bottom. I do grow loads of sweet peas.

Dear Catherine, i'm glad you had a enjoyable time, i think it always makes it a lot better if you have a few days to do the jobs, than if you are trying to fit them in around work. Nice to hear you are reaping the rewards of all your hard work.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

Thank you OH. This afternoon I was planning on sitting on our patio and reading  but our neighbours have put paid to that. He is mowing the lawn with a petrol ride on mower and she is burning rubbish next to our party fence
