I'm going to HAVE TO make this work.....Chatting with my Mum at the weekend I discovered that one of my Grandads was Head Gardener at a very beautiful old house - Wilton House in Salisbury, Wiltshire - which is open to the public. I've had a good look at the gardens on the t'interweb. Oh My!!!! My other Grandad was a gardener too, but I don't wether that was professionally or otherwise. I'll find out more! So, at least this means I should have gardening in my blood. Fingers crossed, eh. I don't want to let them down!
Yesterday morning I could see french beans breaking through the soil, with their bent-over stalks. They were only planted 8 days previously!!! When I returned in the afternoon 2 of the beans had popped through completely and were proudly sitting there leaves stretched out!! I couldn't believe it!!
Oh, and I've already started to harvest radishes. Ok, so they're only radish, but, hey, I grew them from seed so they do count, don't they?
