The above photo was taken on Monday evening.
So far, I have:-
sown pumpkins
planted chilli peppers
sown beetroot
planted rhubard crown that was given to us
sown spring onions
planted shallot sets
sown peas
planted brussels sprouts
sown sweetcorn
Growing nicely in pots at home, ready to be planted on The Plot soon, are:-
runner beans
French beans (only 2 germinated, so I'll pop some more seed in at the plot)
leeks
perpetual spinach
courgettes
Going in today will be carrots, radishes, lettuce, onion sets.
Sowing/planting 2-3 things per day, and it's Getting There.
I've divided the area into 4 sections, but it was still difficult to know where to start with planting. Blank Canvas!

You must have sweated blood to get it in this condition in such a short time.

Piglet - that's a fantastic effort and you must be feeling as pleased as punch with the progress you've made in such a short time.
Now comes the exciting part - watching all your efforts starting to grow. (and the battle with the slugs, snails, wind and weeds

)

It looks great, Piglet, and there is still plenty of time to get things in for this year, particularly if you are prepared to "cheat" a bit for this year by buying plants from a garden centre rather than starting them off as seeds.
