And a particular note and thanks to Monika who supplied me with Ragged Jack Kale seeds. These didn't get the best treatment last year but survived and has been treated as an extra Sprouting Broccoli, ably supplementing the 'real' Sprouting Broccoli.

We grow Red Russian which I think is almost the same thing and have enjoyed some "sprouting" meals off them. Strangely, considering the Winter, we have had more Purple Sprouting (Cardinal and Early Purple Sprouting) than usual. Two good fresh veg treats!
I don't grow Spring Greens but in the polytunnel I have grown Tokyo Cross Turnips and we've had several meals off them also eating the tops as greens, as recommended by Nigel Slater. Two more fresh vegetables for the price of one.
