During my weekly wildlife walks around the National Botanic Garden of Wales over the past few weeks the fondness of Wood Mice for Snails has been very evident. Which has caused me to dream of genetically engineered, edible slugs. Could solve a lot of our problems, or not!?

You can be official taster Colin - they might be able to genetically modify the flavour but not the texture! (Unless you like whelks of course)!

Never let your dog eat slugs, they can catch some horrible internal parasite from them.
So as Westi says Colin, you're the official taster!
My other half likes whelks, I tried one once and can only say it was like salty rubber...
