Is it just 'cos I'm new to veggie growing or does everyone get really excited every time something germinates/ grows another couple of leaves etc :D

- I'm over the moon when it all seems to be working out ok - think my hubby is a bit bemused  as I drag him down the garden in excitement just to show him a tuft of potato leaves peeping through or somethings grown another centimetre!!

He'll be more interested when its all on his plate I guess!!!!!!!

Most folk don't enjoy it the way we 'special ones' do, but my wife praises me up when she is serving visting family members with six choices of cheap tasty organic veg, so you will get your praise in the eating stage no doubt. I still scrape back my spuds to see what they are up too and enjoy the sprouting of seeds in the greenhouse, it is nature at it's best eh??

Well done Vickie and don't worry as you get better the excitement gets better too!!

Go with the flow Vicki

I still get a thrill when I see that little shoot coming out of the pot. I sowed a load of stuff last week, went up a few days later and was chuffed to see the radish and mixed leaf lettuce coming up!!.

Don't tell anyone but I go into my greenhouse on the lottie saying "Hello babies, is everyone ok!!!"

I think I go a little too far though. So keep on enjoying and welcome to this exclusive club of "Special Ones" :P

I talk to my babies too Lizzie  I leave the radio on for them sometimes too; although if the door is open it does keep the squirrels out  I'm always dragging Tim into the greenhouse to see what's growing and he just looks puzzled. It's like a disease; a very nice one, but a disease all the same. Just hope that you are NEVER cured. :D

Saw my first sprout of asparagus this weekend and I was estatic. Yes, it's probably crazy, but I count each sprout when they come up and am overjoyed if I had more than last time.

It's the little pleasures.

I get very excited - my fiance gets annoyed (and more so confused...) if I drag him away from pc or book to see the new leaf on the aspidistra and the herb seeds sprouting.

Can't wait until I get my own soil!!!!

Until anyone can define normal I prefer to remain wierd!

Franksmum. I definitely prefer weired. You know where you are.

Anyway, normal people are boring. No sense of the weired at all.

At least they're good to make fun of
