Turf

My local B@Q have got turf on offer today, £1 a roll.
I suppose with the Easter holidays and thinking we would have the same weather as last year they seem to now have more than they can sell.
My question is how long can I keep the rolls of turf without damaging it, as although we don't have any snow on the ground it is freezing cold.
I don't think it would be safe to lay it with the weather at the moment as watering them would possibly do more harm than good and any advice on how and where are the best places to store them would be gratefully appreciated
Many thanks
