It's strange what wacky thinkers lurk in the recesses of the Soil Association - well, not that strange!
A people's buy-out of Britain's farmland
Colin Tudge - 08 January 2013
Why don't we – the British people – buy all Britain's agricultural land so that it can truly be farmed for our benefit?http://www.soilassociation.org/blogs/la ... d#comments

What a sad person! What an idiotic proposal! There is no way landowners would part with their land holdings to such an unstable group as the Soil Association or any other body so it would have to be a governmental nationalization of land.
As Farmer Jon says within a year or so there would be mass starvation in this land.
Do you realize that the organic faction were unable to produce sufficient cereal seed to sow this year and are going to have to rely on importation
of enough seed to grow this year. So much for the Peter Melchett's of this world who brag on taking three years to grow seed quality cereals.
Because of a lack of suitable fungicides their crops are not up to the required quality.
Now with Colin Tudge's idea we really would be in dire straits and at the mercy of the world market.
Heaven preserve us from Soil Association and all their acolytes!
JB.

Dear All,
didn't Russia and China try something like this? How many millions starved to death?
